Feelings, Sensation
Ghost Trackers have to have an open mind, and be in tune with their own thoughts and feelings.  Often, a strange feeling or sensation is our first clue that something curious is going on.  Many Trackers record their thoughts and feelings during an investigation, and them compare notes with other trackers to see if there are any similarities.  Being aware of our thoughts and feelings is the first step in a great paranormal investigation.

Unusual Electrical Activity
Feeling electricity in the air?  Compass moving erratically?  These may be indicators of unusual or unexplained electrical activity.  Such activity often accompanies paranormal activity.  It could be because ghosts give off energy.  Or maybe, they are in themselves some strange kind of electrical force.  The best thing to do if you sense weird energy is to use your EMF Detector.  A high reading confirms your feelings and indicates that something strange just might be going on.

Cold spots
It happens all the time.  During an investigation, a Ghost Tracker will feel a sudden chill or cold spot.  No one knows why, although some researchers think it happens when we pass through a spirit.  The best way to confirm that you have encountered a clod spot, and aren’t just imagining it, is to use an infrared thermometer, a sensitive tool that can pinpoint sudden temperature changes.

EVP
Electronic Voice Phenomenon is one of the most compelling kinds of evidence.  These are voices, usually missed by a Ghost Tracker in the midst of an investigation.  The best way to capture this kind of evidence is to set up a tape recorder at the beginning and just let it run.  Afterwards, carefully listen to the tape for background voices and other sounds.

Orbs, strange lights and other visual clues
One of the most common kinds of evidence is orbs – mysterious balls of coloured light.  While Ghost Trackers occasional spot them out of the corner of their eyes, orb and other common light phenomenon or best captured with a still or video camera.
